Christopher E. McAdoo

Chris is a founding partner and key member of the Blue Water Wealth Management Group. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Chris leverages his expertise to define and deliver Blue Water's unique processes which we refer to as the Blue Water Way. In addition, as team leader he focuses on business development, client relations, and community outreach. Prior to joining Steward Partners at Raymond James in 2020, Chris joined Paine Webber (later UBS Financial Services, Inc.) in 1989 and later worked at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch before returning to UBS in 2006.

Prior to embarking on his financial services career, Chris joined the U.S. Air Force in 1981 and served proudly for six years in Japan and Greece in what is now known as the Air Force Intelligence Agency. Chris attained a degree from the Community College of the Air Force and then attended the University of Maryland. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, in addition to the Florida health and life insurance and annuity licenses.

Chris and his wife, Sarah, live in Dunedin and have three children. When he is not doting on his two grandsons, Chris enjoys gardening, fishing, playing the trombone, and cooking. He is committed to supporting his community across a wide range of activities. Chris is a former board member and chairman of the Clearwater Family YMCA, serving over 15 years and culminating in a successful campaign to rebuild the facility. He currently serves as President on the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation board, working to provide music education through scholarship, educational activities, and community outreach. Chris and Sarah also support the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, Gracie's Big Splash, Lauren’s One Wish Foundation, Boley Center for Behavioral Healthcare, NAMI and the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation.
